Re-Evolution in the News
Re-Evolution has become quite popular in Latin America thanks mostly to the marketing efforts of my parner and artst Juan Felipe Salcedo. Here are several links to an article, podcast and video interview of Juan showing us some of his artwork and telling us more about Re-Evolution. Note, these links are all in spanish but there a couple of cool pictures of Juan’s artworks in the article and video if you want to check those out.

Re-evolution in first place!
Zuda posted their last update of the competition and Re-Evolution is in first place. Here’s what Dave posted on the blog.
We may be jet-lagged and convention weary, but we must update! Re-Evolution has jumped again, this time taking the #1 spot and forcing The Mundane Overrated Misadventures of Spudman down to #2! But that’s not all: Teachers moves from 9th to 8th, passing Untrue Tales! With only a few days left, it’s anyone’s month! SO VOTE!READ IT HERE
Re-Evolution hits number 2…here comes #1!
Wizard Universe Reviews Re-Evolution
Wizard Universe did their monthly round up of all the Zuda competitors.
Sure, Re-Evolution has cute and cuddly, but it’s also got murder and mayhem… all with animals! The art is excellent and the story has great depth to boot. Will Guerilla Wild liberate the animals from Gorilla control? Vote for this book if you wanna find out!Check out what they had to say.
Zuda contest begins, some thoughts…
Well the Zuda contest has begun and I posted some thoughts about the contest on the Zuda boards.
I’ll note a couple of observations coming out the gate as a competitor this month.
1) All the comics are REALLY REALLY GOOD. A given, true, but it’s even harder to compete this month given every single comic is solid, already have fan bases and would be a great addition to the winners circle.
2) The fact that all the stats from the previous contests are present makes it even harder to gauge how well you are doing against your competition. Where before you could make a guess from the favorites and page view, this month that’s completely out the door. Once the first ranking goes up, I think it will be even more difficult for the comics trying to catch up. Believe me, I know. I was in second place all of April, clawing away at Melody until I finally passed it on the day before the competition ends. Now being in second could potentially become a nightmare, we’ll see. Will be interesting to see how the competition plays out. I predict this will be a runoff month, with whoever taking first at the first ranking winning.
3) As we stated before, marketing the comic may be easier in some respects cause we’ve done it before but trying to get repeat votes from people is tough.
In any case, here are the numbers for Re-Evolution on the end of Day 2.
It’s official, Re-Evolution is part of the first annual Zuda Comics invitational
They made the official announcement today that we will be participating in the Zuda Invitational next month. Check out their site for the full list of competitors.
